Can’t find just the right Frame to add to your holiday decorating ? How about creating your own 3D frame to match whatever theme you choose?
Last year I made this Happy Hauntings frame from the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge. I wanted something small for my small entry hall table that people see as soon as they enter my home. This includes those Trick Or Treaters who come by the house since this table holds the Candy Bucket too. I love making my own frames because I can make them as small or as large as I need.
The frame has several layers starting with some light weight chipboard to give it some substance. Then I layered the different glittery papers on top. I used foam pop dots between the layers to add more dimension. I did a little doodling on the ghost so he stood out more too. Some ribbon and a few gems added with jump rings to add a little panache finished it off.
You can make a frame to add a treasured photo OR a favorite saying or subway art.Or even consider making small frames with menu item on them to set up with your holiday food buffet offerings.
So don’t worry if you can’t find the perfect frame, make your own ! Many of the different die cut companies have files that are frames. Be sure and pick one with an easel or add your own so it can stand up on a table or mantle.
Have you ever made a 3D die cut frame? Are you inspired to make your own now? It really is simple and makes a big impact since it is handmade piece of decor you can enjoy year after year.
