FREE PRINTABLE VALENTINE TREAT BAG TOPPER
My youngest granddaughter asked if I could help with coming up with something different for her Valentines Treats for her class this year. She said, “I don’t want to just give out candy…find something more snacky”. So with my marching orders, I started looking around for Valentines Treats that would be different than the usual bag of candy or suckers, etc.
Cue the violins and cupid…I found these adorable pre-packaged Valentine Cookies at my local Target store. My girl loves these kinds of cookies so I knew she would love these as her Valentine Treat.
I also found these other snackable Valentine Treats that would work too ! Look around at your local stores and Amazon to see what you can find. I have linked up where I found these, just click on the photos.
So once you have found the perfect Valentine Treat, it’s time to jazz it up with a fun Valentine Treat Bag Topper. As promised, these are simple to make and super fast to get ready to hand out for Valentines Day. They are great for kids to give out but you could make some for your friends and co-workers to brighten their Valentines Day too.

STEP 2: Once you download to your computer, get ready to print it out on your ink jet home printer. I do recommend you use a Bright White Cardstock
The one I recommend is Neenah Bright White Cardstock 65 lbs because it provides for good print coloring and this weight easily fits most home inkjet printers.
STEP 3: Unzip the downloaded folder to see the two file versions provided. There is a PDF and PNG version.
The PDF version is already sized and ready to print and be cut with paper trimmer or scissors. You can skip to Step 5 to assemble.
If you want to your Cricut to cut it out for you, Upload the PNG file to Design Space. Add as new project and re-size to maximum Print Then Cut size at 6.75 w X 9.25 h.
Follow the prompts in Design Space once you hit Make It button to get started.
STEP 4: If you used the PNG File, after it prints out add the printable to your Cricut Mat and get ready for it to cut. in your Cricut following the prompts in Design Space.
I recommend using the Light Grip Mat for this weight of cardstock. Either the Cricut Mats Or the NICAPA Mats work well.
STEP 5: Remove the cut printed topper images from the mat. You will notice there is a black fold line. Fold along the line to create a “tent” shape with each tag topper piece.
I hate to see cardstock wasted so I added the adorable envelop with heart on it down the side to fill in the space. These make cute confetti to decorate a table or glue it on to the back of valentine card envelop to seal it for extra special touch.
STEP 6: Place the folded topper over the top of the treat bag like so.
STEP 7: Attach the topper to the treat bag by placing a staple on each side to secure the topper.
And that’s it, you are ready to hand these out to your sweethearts for Valentines Day. You can whip up a bunch of these in no time ! These Printable Valentines Treat Toppers would fit across almost any individual chips, crackers or cookie bags you wan to use.
P.S. I know schools have different rules so I made room the back of the topper so kids could add their name and recipients name if that’s allowed.
If you make a project, I’d love to see it! Please share in our Facebook Group Community where you will find others sharing their projects, tips and inspiration.
